Not professional advice
Our guides are educational. Plant needs vary by climate, season and individual specimen. If a plant is rare, valuable or legally protected, consult a qualified horticulturist before acting on our advice.
Plant safety
Several common houseplants are toxic to cats, dogs and sometimes people if ingested. We mark toxic species, but you are responsible for keeping plants away from children and pets. For any suspected poisoning, contact a poison control centre, vet or doctor right away.

Leafwise is funded by advertising, not by commissions. We do not currently use affiliate (referral) links, and we never accept payment to recommend or rank a product. If we ever add referral links, they will be clearly marked and will not affect our advice.

Text, illustrations and layouts on Leafwise are original and protected. You may quote short passages with attribution, but don't republish entire guides without permission.
